Soccer Team Needs Help Footing the Bill

The Grifos Girls 97 -- a Keystone Athletic soccer team that boasts players from Easton -- will be holding a Cross Country 5K Fun Run & 1 Mile Fitness Walk at  on Oct. 2.

After taking second place in the USL Super Y league, the team was invited to take part in the National Championship in Tampa, Florida.

In order to attend the National Championship, which will be held in December, the team needs to raise money to help cover travel expenses.

For those interested in participating, you can register online at www.active.com, or by filling out the registration form on the team's Facebook event page (you will need to scroll down the page to locate the form).

Entry fees are as follows:

• 5K Cross Country Fun Run -- $30 per person ($35 if registered after Sept. 21)
• 5K Cross Country Fun Run (under 16) -- $25 per person
• 1 Mile Fitness Walk -- $20 per person ($30 if you'd like a T-shirt)
• 1 Mile Fitness Walk (under 10) -- $10 per person
• Teams (four of more) -- $25 per member ($30 if registered after Sept. 21)
