Stroudsburg Nurse Receives Honor for Providing Unparalleled Care

Jill Tedesco a nurse at BrightStar Care® of Stroudsburg, was awarded the Regional Northeast Nurse of the Year from her employer, BrightStar Care®. Nominated for two years in a row, Jill continues to leave a positive impact on the lives of her clients and is dedicated to continuing to provide a higher standard of care.

Jill was nominated by one of the clients she has been working with for the past three years. When Jill first entered her client's life, her client was depressed and felt defeated by a recent medical diagnosis. Jill knew how to uplift her client both mentally and physically, enhancing her outlook on life while facilitating regular medical transfusions. Throughout their time together, Jill has helped her client overcome depression, improve her walking and breathing, and return to normal activities, including driving and resuming her work as a teacher.

Jill has also worked seamlessly with the client’s family to help them understand the dynamics of their loved one’s disease and ensure they know how to best support her on this ongoing journey.

Jill was honored as a regional winner during a surprise ceremony at the BrightStar Care® of Stroudsburg office on July 24. In Fall 2024, BrightStar Care will announce its national Nurse and Caregiver of the Year award winners at its annual conference.
