Field of Screams Debuts Creepy Christmas Show

LANCASTER, PA — Holiday cheer is getting a wicked twist this winter as Field of Screams prepares to open its gates for a special Creepy Christmas Show on December 12th and 13th. Known across the region for delivering some of the most intense scares around, the Lancaster attraction is stepping into the off-season with a festive fright experience that locals won’t soon forget.

For two nights only, visitors can climb aboard the beloved Haunted Hayride—reimagined as the HAUNTED SLAYRIDE—where twinkling lights and holiday music quickly give way to jolting surprises, eerie scenes, and a cast of characters straight out of a nightmare version of the North Pole. Think Christmas Clowns, demented elves, and a Sinister Santa who is definitely not here for milk and cookies.

Visitors will also find the attraction decked out with a full holiday twist. Stockings are hung with care… though a few unfortunate “leftovers” still dangle inside. Re-themed scenes throughout the property ensure that even seasoned Field of Screams fans will encounter something entirely new.

A Fright Pass gives guests the full seasonal experience, including access to the Den of Darkness, Frightmare Asylum, and the Christmas-themed Haunted Hayride. According to the Field of Screams team, this is one of the most ambitious off-season productions they’ve ever undertaken.

“We’ve always loved pushing boundaries with our off-season shows, and this Creepy Christmas event is one of the most fun and twisted things we’ve created,” said co-owner Jim Schopf. “People think they know what to expect when they hear ‘Christmas,’ but we promise—this is the most frightening holiday celebration you’ll ever see. We can’t wait to share it with everyone.”

With only two nights on the calendar, organizers are encouraging locals and thrill-seekers from the surrounding counties to secure tickets early. This limited-time event may not return in the same form, making it a must-see for fans of the attraction and lovers of all things frightful.
