Courts: DUI Cases Heard, Woman Charged with Crack Cocaine Possession

William Janov, 55, of North Versailles waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of two counts of driving under the influence and careless driving. Forest Hills police arrested Janov Sept. 6 after they noticed a red Ford truck swerving on Ardmore Boulevard. A breath test showed that he had a blood alcohol content of .248, according to the police criminal complaint.

Keith Jejuan Smith, 32, of Pittsburgh waived his right to a preliminary hearing on two counts of charges of driving under the influence, driving at an unsafe speed and careless driving. Edgewood police arrested Smith Aug. 24 after officers saw a vehicle speeding on West Swissvale Avenue while on patrol. Smith had bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol at the scene, according to the police criminal complaint. He failed sobriety tests at the scene.

Nicholas P. Harbadin, 21, of North Versailles waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of two counts of driving under the influence and disobeying traffic controls after a stop on Greensburg Pike. Charges were filed by Forest Hills police.

Jeannie Johnson, 33, of Wilkinsburg was held for court on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. police arrested Johnson Oct. 8, 2010 after a traffic stop near Hutchinson and South Braddock Avenue. A crack pipe was found in her purse as she was a passenger in a car that ran a red light. Crack cocaine also was found, according to the police criminal complaint.
