Courts: Man Charged with Stealing Checks, Woman Charged with DUI

The following cases recently came before in :
Ronald Lintner, 42, of Wilkinsburg waived his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of theft by unlawful taking and writing bad checks. Forest Hills police received a report Aug. 2 from victim Bonita Tolan of Forest Hills, who said her ex-boyfriend, Lintner, had stolen the checks and was the only one who would have had access to them. He later stole bank statements to hide the evidence, police said. Police found 58 bad checks that came to a total of $2,705.99, along with 10 others that were written but refused by the bank.
Ruth Allison Gates, 23, of Monroeville waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges of two counts of driving under the influence, disregard of the traffic lane, careless driving and driving at an unsafe speed. State police were called to the Churchill exit on the Parkway East for a one car accident July 14. Gates’ car was in the grass on the shoulder of the road. Police reported that she smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and her speech was slurred.

Danielle Carissa Oblock of Monroeville waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges of two counts of driving under the influence, disregard of the traffic lane, driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving and failure to use a safety belt. State police were called to a one car accident on business route 22 in Churchill. The police report states that Oblock was climbing on the hood when police arrived, and told them she was trying to get her cigarettes out of the car.
David C. Procacina, 59, of Wilkinsburg was held for court on charges of driving under the influence, driving without a license, driving with a suspended license, disregard of the traffic lane, driving too slow for conditions and reckless driving. Procacina was arrested by Churchill police July 26, according to court documents.
