Residents Connect Through Culinary Traditions, Wellness Activities, and Heartfelt Giving
Vibrant events and heartfelt connections defined January at Juniper Village at Forest Hills, a premier personal care community, as residents engaged in wellness programs and celebrated cherished traditions. The month was filled with lively cooking classes and meaningful moments of gratitude, where the spirit of the community was alive through shared meals and volunteerism.
Whether participating in fitness classes or social events, there was always something to keep everyone moving and connected in January. A highlight of the month was the rewarding Juniper Dollars program, where residents earned “free money” for participating in various activities. These earned dollars could be used to shop at the Juniper Store for a wide range of items, from books and jewelry to candy and toiletries, encouraging active involvement and adding an extra layer of fun to the month.
Throughout January, residents also focused on health and well-being, seizing opportunities to enhance both physical and mental wellness. Residents attended a Sound Therapy session, led by Monique Mead, Sound Practitioner at The Awareness & Wellness Center of Pittsburg, which explored stress relief and deep relaxation. Residents also enjoyed the high-energy fun of Drum Fit, a workout that combines cardio, muscle conditioning, balance, and flexibility, all set to upbeat music. These classes encouraged residents to stay active and forge meaningful connections.
