School for the Deaf Remembers 9/11 Under Memorial Tree
Students gathered on campus Friday morning.
Students and faculty gathered Friday at the near a 10-year-old tree planted in memory of the victims of 9/11 to mark the commemoration of the attacks.
The tree was planted in 2002 after 9/11 as a memorial by the students. Edgewood Police Chief Robert Payne, Officer Michael Crow and Mayor Mal Hellett also attended, in addition to members of the Edgewood Volunteer Fire Department.
