• Venango County Courthouse Roof Project Complete as Crews Dismantle Final Scaffolding (explorevenango.com) — Work on the Venango County Courthouse roof in downtown Franklin is now finished, and crews are taking down the last of the scaffolding around the historic building. The massive slate roof replacement largely stayed on schedule despite fall weather, and courthouse operations remained open throughout. Cleanup will continue into next week as access and surroundings return fully to normal.

• Pennsylvania State Police Handle Hit-And-Run, Drug Charges (explorevenango.com) — State police based in Franklin are investigating a late-November hit-and-run on U.S. 322 in Cranberry Township and a separate traffic stop that uncovered suspected drugs and paraphernalia. Both drivers, from Kennerdell and Cooperstown, face multiple charges, with preliminary hearings set in January before local magisterial district judges. Residents may notice these cases moving through nearby Venango County courts.
