• Residents pack meeting as PFAS concerns grow near Boyertown Landfill (wfmz.com) — Neighbors recently crowded into Gilbertsville Fire and Rescue to demand answers about PFAS contamination linked to the old Boyertown Landfill, which closed in 1987 but still affects local water. State DEP and federal EPA officials explained that testing shows “forever chemicals” in nearby homes, with filtration systems already installed for some residents and more monitoring and mitigation promised.
