HAVERTOWN, PA — Amazon is looking to install a sign in Haverford Township as it continues its plans to set up a retail location.
The Haverford Township Zoning Hearing Board Thursday will consider an appeal by Amazon Retail LLC for a variance to install a sign at 403 West Chester Pike in Havertown.
Amazon is seeking a variance to the Haverford Township Zoning Ordinance with hopes of adding a wall sign.

The variance is from Section 182-701.F.1(b)[1] to permit a net signage area of 164.62 square feet, where 50 feet is the maximum permitted and 108.5 square feet is existing.
A public meeting to discuss the appeal will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Commissioners Meeting Room, 1014 Darby Road, Havertown.

Amazon still has a pending liquor license at that location, according to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.
