Assault, Stolen Vehicle, Fraud, Theft, More: Haverford Crime Blotter

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Haverford Police released details on crime incidents that occurred over the last month.

These incidents took place between Sept. 3 and Sept. 9.

The blotter also features arrests made and citations issued.

Incidents

• Theft at the 2100 block of Haverford Road on Sept. 3 at 1:09 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered; $5 was stolen.
• Attempted Theft at the 100 block of Hastings Avenue on Sept. 3 – Unlocked vehicle was entered; nothing was reported missing.
• Theft at the 300 block of Walnut Place on Sept. 3 at 10:27 p.m. – A green lightbulb was stolen from an exterior light.
• Attempted Theft at the unit block of Thompson Drive on Sept. 4 at 7:20 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered; nothing was reported missing.
• Attempted Theft at the 100 block of Cedar Brook Road on Sept. 4 at 11:21 a.m. – Two vehicles were entered; nothing was reported missing.
• Fraud at the unit block of Downs Circle on Sept. 4 at 4:06 p.m. – Two unauthorized purchases were made on the victim’s checking account.
• Bicycle Theft at 2400 block of Merwood Lane on Sept. 4 at 9:13 a.m.
• Theft at the unit block of Hastings Avenue on Sept. 4 at 4:55 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered; sneakers, gift cards, house and car keys were stolen.
• Theft at the 2400 block of Merwood Lane on Sept. 4 at 7:02 a.m. – Two unlocked vehicles were entered - $30 was stolen.
• Criminal Mischief at the 1600 block of Earlington Road on Sept. 4 at 1:46 p.m. – Vehicle rear window was shattered.
• Attempted Theft at the unit block of Kathleen Court on Sept. 4 at 9:28 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle entered – nothing reported missing.
• Attempted Theft at the 100 block of Hastings Avenue on Sept. 4 at 5:33 p.m. – Vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
• Theft at the unit block of W. Park Road on Sept. 5 at 1:49 p.m. – Two unauthorized purchases were made with the victim’s debit card.
• Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Sept. 5 at 1:56 p.m. – 47-year-old male, 5600 block of Willows Avenue, Philadelphia, was cited for the retail theft of $92.32 worth of merchandise.
• Criminal Mischief at the 600 block of Woodcrest Avenue on Sept. 6 at 10:59 p.m. – A side window was broken on the residence.
• Fraud at the 1400 block of Delmont Avenue on Sept. 6 at 9:59 a.m. – The victim reported that her bank was charged $199 worth of unauthorized purchases.
• Theft at the 1200 block of West Chester Pike on Sept. 6 at 11:25 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered. Spare key was stolen.
• Bicycle Theft at Haverford Middle School, 1700 block of Darby Road, on Sept. 6 at 11:19 p.m.
• Public Drunkenness at Karakung Drive and Mill Road on Sept. 7 at 11:04 p.m. – Two, 23-year-old males, unit block of Springton Road, were cited for public drunkenness.
• Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Sept. 7 at 7:24 p.m. – Three unknown males stole clothing and shoes.
• Retail Theft at Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Sept. 7 at 11:58 a.m. – An unknown male stole $122.00 worth of merchandise.
• Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Sept. 8 at 12:53 p.m. – An unknown male stole $1,474 worth of merchandise.
• Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Sept. 8 at 4:22 p.m. – An unknown male stole two Husqvarna blowers valued at $1,049.98.
• Attempted Motor Vehicle Theft at the 700 block of Humphreys Street on Sept. 9 at 11:36 a.m.
• Motor Vehicle Theft at the 2400 block of Avon Road on Sept. 9 at 3:26 a.m.
• Theft at the unit block of Braeburn Road on Sept. 9 at 8:04 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, car keys were stolen.

Arrests

• 41-year-old male, 600 block of Sharp Avenue, Glenolden. Charges: DUI. Location: 1100 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Sept. 5 at 9:23 p.m.
• 57-year-old male, unit block of Northwood Road, Newtown Square. Charges: DUI, accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle, careless driving and fail to report accident. Location: 1400 block of Burmont Road. Date: Sept. 6 at 9:40 p.m.
• 39-year-old female, 2000 block of Darby Road, Havertown. Charges: Simple assault and harassment. Location: 2000 block of Darby Road. Date: Sept. 9 at 2:12 a.m.
