Bomb Threat Closes Delaware County High School
A bomb threat made toward Haverford High School led the School District of Haverford Township to send students home and close the building.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — A bomb threat made toward Haverford High School has led to students being dismissed early after the school was evacuated Wednesday morning.
The School District of Haverford Township notified the community of the threat at about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday via email.
"We are coordinating with the Haverford Police Department, who are on site and conducting a search of the building," the communication said. "The high school has been evacuated, and students and staff are currently safe and at the middle school."

Not long after the initial email was sent out, the district said high school students would be dismissed at 10 a.m. Students are being bussed home, according to the district.
As a result of the investigation, the high school has been closed and no entry is permitted.

The district said it will provide details on when students can retrieve their belongings left in the school, if needed, soon.
Officials will also share information regarding after-school activities later Wednesday.
