Attempted Car Thief Assaults Owner After Confrontation: Haverford Police

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township are asking for help identifying a man they said tried to steal a vehicle then assaulted the vehicle's owner.

The incident happened early Friday morning.

Police said the man in the video above assaulted a resident when the resident confronted the man as he tried to steal his vehicle.

According to police, the suspect was then seen on the 500 block of Kathmere Rd at 2:40 a.m. Friday, and later on the 400 block of Earlington Rd and Brentwood Road between 3:10 a.m. and 3:20 a.m. Friday.
