The family thanked its customers for their support and loyalty over the years.
Community members expressed their love of Pica's and their sadness over it's closing online.
"What can we do to stop this? It’s a historical spot," one person commented. "So many memories. Someone call Tina Fey!"
"Thank you guys for all the memories," another said. "I have of my family in your establishment. This was the place my mom would take us for a treat. I’ll always remember her sharing her croutons with me as a little kid."
"So sad," someone wrote in a comment. "I grew up on Pica's pizza. It is simply the best pizza around."
"I will remember Linda and Angela always being the best hostesses and helping me plan every event my family has held there in the past 40 years," someone said.
But luckily, the Pica family said they are planning a new, smaller venture in the area, and promise to serve customers with the same "love and dedication."
"Stay tuned for updates on the journey ahead," the post reads.
