DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — The average number of coronavirus patients on ventilators has dropped to zero in Delaware County.

According to the latest data from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, over the past seven days, the average daily number of coronavirus patients on ventilators went from 0.1 to 0.

Average daily coronavirus specific hospitalizations went down as well, from 18.4 to 14.4.

New confirmed cases dropped from 151 to 130, and the incidence rate per 100,000 people went down from 26.6 to 22.9.

Delaware County's positive testing rate dipped from 2.6 percent to 2 percent.

The only metric to see an increase was the percent of hospital emergency room visits due to coronavirus-like illnesses, which went up to 0.9 percent to 0.5 percent.

As of Friday, Delaware County has seen 94,753 confirmed cases of the virus and 1,850 coronavirus-related deaths.

To date, 353,931 people have been fully vaccinated and 83,316 have at least one dose. Of the 353,931, 153,703 have received and additional dose since August 2021.
