Delco BBQ Joint Featured On New Gordon Ramsay Show

UPPER DARBY, PA — A Delaware County barbecue joint Wednesday was featured on a new show from celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

"Gordon Ramsay's Secret Service" tasks Ramsay, known for his brusque critiques, with going undercover to save "struggling restaurants."

Wednesday's episode focused on Upper Darby's Wilson's Secret Sauce.

"Gordon must help the owner of Wilson's Secret Sauce, by minimizing the menu and inventory," the episode description reads.

Ramsay was spotted in Delaware County back in April, leading to speculation about what he was doing in the area.

Also in April, Wilson's posted a photo with celebrity chef Robert Irvine, teasing fans with what was to come.

Wilson's took to social media in May to shed light on what was going on.

"Our secret is OUT," the post reads. "We will be featured on 'Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service.' I don’t want to spoil anything but what I will say is that Gordon helped me tackle some of my everyday struggles of running a restaurant. To be mentored by the Best in the World is something I don’t take lightly, I have been working on a lot of things that I struggle with in order to make Wilson’s Secret Sauce even better than it was before!"

Wilson's Thursday morning thanked Ramsay for helping the restaurant "make a needed change.

"We would like to Thank Everyone for the support along the way. I have read just about every comment posted throughout the web and my eyes are really puffy right now."

Wilson's Secret Sauce is located at 265 E. Township Line Road in Upper Darby Township.
