DARBY, PA — A Delaware County man is in custody on murder and related charges after authorities said he fatally shot his domestic partner.

Ahmir Jackson, 24, of Darby, is charged with first- and third-degree murder, homicide, possession of a weapon, and possession of an instrument of crime.

The charges stem from an Aug. 18 incident in Darby Borough.

According to the Delaware County Daily Times, Myanna Quin, 24, was fatally shot at about 2:10 a.m. on the unit block of South Seventh Street on that date.

Quin was Jackson's domestic partner, and the shooting stemmed from a dispute between the two, the outlet reports.

Jackson was taken into custody Saturday and held without bail.

He is scheduled for a Sept. 3 preliminary hearing, according to court documents.
