La Stalla Italian Market Opens Wednesday
La Stalla Italian Market has opened for business. The shop, under the same ownership as the popular Newtown restaurant with the same name, opened for business at 8 a.m. It is located on Sycamore Street in The Promenade shopping center. Shop hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays; 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays.

'Suspicious' Montco Man Is Asking Children If They Need A Ride: Cops
Police said that a man in the Lower Providence area has been driving around asking children if he can drive them home. The most recent incident occurred on Thursday at around 4 p.m. on Vincent Drive in Collegeville, authorities said. The man, who is a described as between 50 and 60 years old with spiked gray hair and a white beard, was driving a silver sedan, possible a Toyota, according to police.

Norristown's Sanford Harling Awarded Carnegie Medal For Heroism
Norristown's "boy hero," Sanford Harling III, has been recognized by the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission for his heroic actions on that fateful day last February. Harling, also known as "Man Man," rushed back inside his burning Markley Street home on Feb. 5, 2016 to rescue his father, Sanford Harling Jr., who required the use of a walker.
Phoenixville Passes Anti-Discrimination Ordinance
After weeks of debate and more than a year of planning and research, the Phoenixville borough council passed an Anti-Discrimination Ordinance at a recent meeting, becoming the 40th municipality in Pennsylvania to adopt a measure of that nature. The ordinance codifies various protections for LGBT and minority communities in the borough, particularly in relation to housing, employment and other areas.
Doylestown Police Targeting Aggressive Drivers In Month-Long Crackdown
Police from Doylestown and Warrington townships are teaming up over the next several weeks to target aggressive drivers. And officers will show offending drivers little mercy. The special detail will last until April 30, police said. Speeding and other aggressive driving behaviors are among the leading causes of highway crashes and fatalities in Pennsylvania, according to PennDOT.
