HAVERTOWN, PA — A Havertown man has been charged with numerous crimes, including felonies, after authorities said he started fires in a Delaware County park earlier this month.

Brogan has been charged with three felony counts of reckless burning and three felony counts of risking catastrophe, according to court records. He is also charged with failure to report and control a dangerous fire, dangerous burning, and criminal mischief, court documents show.

State police also reported trash can fires being set at Lenni Park on May 8. In that investigation, police said a suspect in a black Honda HRV set "numerous" fires to trash cans in the park. However, police did not name Brogan in their report on the May 8 fires.

Brogan was released on $20,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Thursday.
