Flu Shots Available At Delco Wellness Center Wednesdays This Month

Delaware County is hosting three Walk-In Flu Shot Wednesdays this month, where residents can get free flu shots without appointments.

YEADON, PA — Health officials in Delaware County are hosting walk-in flu shot clinics this month in Yeadon.

These clinics will be held at the Delaware County Wellness Center in Yeadon on Wednesdays in November.

The clinics will provide free flu vaccinations to all residents 3 and older. Appointments are not necessary.

Below is the Walk-In Flu Shot Wednesdays schedule:

  • Wednesday, Nov. 8 — 1 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 15 — 9:30 a.m. to ;30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 22 — 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

These clinics offer a convenient opportunity for residents to receive their flu vaccinations without the need for appointments before the holidays arrive. Flu shots are available free of charge to everyone, regardless of insurance status, while supplies last.

"The flu can make everyone very sick, even healthy people,"Delaware County Health Department Director Melissa Lyon said. "Washing your hands, staying home when sick, and getting your flu immunization are the best ways to keep everyone safe this holiday season."

It is important to note that all other immunizations provided by DCHD require appointments and have specific eligibility requirements.
