Free Doughnuts at Krispy Kreme on Friday

In celebration of National Doughnut Day, all Krispy Kreme stores will offer a free doughnut of any flavor to each customer.

The Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in Havertown told Haverford Patch that they are definitely participating in the give-away.

Krispy Kreme opened in Havertown's Manoa Shopping Center in April. A Springfield man was first in line for free doughnuts for a year. He spent 32 hours in line for 52 weeks of doughnuts.

National Doughnut Day succeeds the Doughnut Day event created by The Salvation Army in 1938 to honor the women who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I, according to Wikipedia.
