Gas Line Struck in Havertown, Homes Evacuated

A contractor struck a gas line on Ellston Road Wednesday afternoon.

Several homes in a Havertown neighborhood have been evacuated following a gas leak Wednesday afternoon, according to 6 ABC.

The report says that a contractor struck the line on the 1200 block of Ellston Street, forcing the evacuation of a few surrounding homes.

PECO is on the scene performing repairs, no injuries have been reported.
