Delco Blood Drive To Honor Local Boy Battling Cancer
Thursday's blood drive at the Haverford CREC is being held in honor of a local 10-year-old boy battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Residents in and around Haverford are invited to donate blood Thursday in honor of a local boy who is battling cancer.
The American Red Cross is hosting a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Haverford Community Recreation & Environmental Center.
This drive is being held in honor of Beckett Campbell.

The 10-year-old boy is currently battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia, according to organizers.
Campbell, in the early days of his treatment, required 30 blood transfusions to simply begin his chemotherapy.

Organizers said he is set to be deemed "cancer free" in November 2028 thanks to the experts at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and to people who donate blood.
