Havertown Native Showcases Modular Steel Bridge Design

WASHINGTON, DC – The American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), in collaboration with the House and Senate Steel Caucuses and the National Steel Bridge Alliance (NSBA), hosted an event October 2 in honor of Steel Day 2013.  

Winners of the 2013 ASCE/AISC National Student Bridge Competition from the University of California – Berkeley, as well as competition contestants from the University of Akron, University of Delaware and University of Maryland, showcased their large-scale, modular steel bridge designs during the event.

University of Delaware student Mark Wisniewski is a Havertown local and participated in the event.
