New Mexican Restaurant Opening Thursday In Delaware County

Al Pastor in Havertown is Delaware County's most hotly anticipated new restaurant. It will open its doors this week.

HAVERTOWN, PA — Delaware County's newest, most anticipated restaurant is ready to open its doors, offering Mexican cuisine to hungry Main Liners and Delconians.

Al Pastor will open Thursday after about a year of planning.

The new restaurant is located at 13 W. Benedict Ave. in Havertown.

Al Pastor Havertown is the newest venture by Stove and Co. Restaurant Group, who operate an Al pastor in Exton, Stove & Tap, Joey Chops, Good Bad & Ugly, and Revival Pizza Pub.

This modern Mexican eatery has an emphasis on food and margaritas, big flavors, bold colors and a casual welcoming vibe.

The restaurant will feature 100 seats inside and an extensive outdoor margarita garden with 100 additional seats.

Al Pastor's menus focuses on shareables and handhelds, with up to 15 kinds of tacos, five variations of birria tacos, burritos, enchiladas, nachos, street corn, three kinds of guacamole, salads, soups, empanadas and more.

Signature dishes include Mexican fried rice, Mexican ramen (winter), tuna ceviche tostada, Al Pastor wings with pineapple glaze and "Dragon tots."

From the bar, look for margaritas in classic varieties as well as flavored, on the rock and frozen.
Additionally, look for Ranch Water, Spiked Lemonade, Sangria, Spiked Fresca, AP Aperol Spritz, Space Punch and other signature cocktails.

The beer program will feature 12 on tap and mix between Mexican and craft favorites, plus bottles, cans and seltzers.

When opened, look for lunch, happy hour, and dinner service, with hours seven days a week from noon to 10 p.m. to start.
