Construction on the new YMCA on Eagle Road in Havertown is continuing, and the new 75,000-square-foot building is scheduled for an October opening.
Bathroom fixtures and light fixtures are currently being installed, preparations are being made to be put down special flooring (gym/aerobic studios) and parking lot lights are being installed, according to Mike Troupe, VP of Facilities.
According to YMCA, "full privilege membership" includes full access to the 15 Philadelphia Freedom Valley YMCA locations, priority class and program registration beginning on August 12 and free consultations with a Wellness Coach (maximum 3 consultations), among others.

The Haverford Area YMCA will offer the following amenities, according to YMCA:
- 10,000 square foot Wellness Center
- Gymnasium
- A Lap Pool
- A Family Fun Pool with water slides
- A Therapy Pool
- Indoor Track
- Group Exercise and Cycle Studios
- Child Watch and Teen Center
