Dog Shot With BB Gun In Delco, Man Charged: Authorities
A 71-year-old man was charged with animal cruelty and possession of an instrument of crime in connection with the shooting, records show.
LENNI, PA — A man was charged after authorities allege he shot a dog with a BB gun in Delaware County.
Pennsylvania State Police said on Aug. 24, a 53-year-old woman said her dog was shot by a BB gun when it was in her fenced-in backyard on Lenni Road in Lenni.
The woman said she believed her dog was shot by a neighbor.

Court records show Paul Matthew Beddoe, 71, of Lenni, was charged in connection with the incident.
Beddoe is charged with cruelty to animals and possession of an instrument of crime, both misdemeanor crimes, according to court documents.

He was charged on Nov. 14 and is scheduled for a Jan. 21, 2026 preliminary hearing, court records show.
