Outside the U.S. Open Gates, a Thirst for Enterprise
A stand on College Avenue is selling treats for a good cause.
This is not Remy Peskin's first lemonade stand.
The Haverford resident has done it for many summers in her short life, she said. On this day she rallied friends Meriel Doyle of Villanova and Miles Allen of Malvern to help her.
The stand is on College Avenue close to entrances to Merion Golf Course, where the U.S. Open is being held.

They are selling lemonade, brownies, pretzels and muffins to people walking around the neighborhood and those coming and going to the golf course.
Peskin plans to be out at her stand for the rest of the week. She said she wants to donate proceeds (already she has more than $200) to a cause, but she has not decided yet which.
