Paddock Park Getting Bathroom

It is not certain if it will be constructed in time for the 4th of July.

Some comfort will finally come to the users of Paddock Park in Havertown.

Haverford Township's Board of Commissioners approved the purchase of a comfort station (otherwise known as a bathroom) for the Paddock Farms park and playground on Woodleigh Road.

According to Dan Siegel, the Fourth Ward commissioner, the township anticipates that installation will begin "soon."

The Paddock Farms Civic Association reports on its website that the township has "encountered a number of obstacles and financial hurdles in the bathroom installation at Paddock Park. While we are hoping that it will be finished in time for our July 4 event, it is likely that it will not be completed until later in the summer."

According to the civic group, the planned bathroom will have one stall, one sink, and "we have requested that they add a changing table."
