PA's Best Burger Is Served In Delco, Website Says

FOLSOM, PA — Summer is here, and few foods embody the season like a good burger.

Luckily for Delaware County residents, Pennsylvania's best burger is served right in their backyards.

That's according to website TastingTable.com, which recently published a list of what they say are the best burgers in each state.

"Every state in the U.S. is home to some mind-blowing takes on America's favorite sandwich, from classic iterations with just meat and cheese to towering icons of beefy, saucy, veggie-laden splendor," the article reads. "We've rounded up this list of each state's most iconic burger joints, including simple creations from ultra-casual spots and gourmet bites from classy, time-honored establishments."

When it comes to PA, it's Charlie's Hamburgers in Folsom that is the standout in the list.

You don't need a ton of bells and whistles to make an irresistible burger, and Charlie's Hamburgers in Folsom is proof. The original location was a bare-bones building that didn't have the room for a fryer, but in 2019, the business moved to a bigger spot so it could crank out some crispy fries with every order. Snag yourself a plain ol' hamburger, then decide on toppings and whether or not you want to double- or even triple-down on the beef patty.

The 237 E. Macdade Boulevard burger joint has 4.5 stars based on 1,136 Google reviews.

"Absolute classic. Smash-style burgers that are so good, you’ll be back soon enough," one reviewer said. "Staff is cool, place is spotless."

"I have been to Charlies hundreds of time," another wrote. "I never get a chance to take pics of the burgers because they always get eaten before I get a chance."

"I can honestly say, it is the best cheeseburger I have ever eaten and very reasonable prices," someone said in their review. "Service is quick and the staff are very friendly and helpful."

"No bells no whistles, just great classic hamburgers and hand spun milkshakes," another five-star review says.

Charlie's touts its never frozen, always fresh burgers, which are available in various styles, like being served with fried onion and bacon or on a grilled cheese bun.
