Roger Dale Wilcox, a resident of the 1400 block of Charlestown Road, was charged with 50 counts of child pornography and two counts of criminal use of a communication facility.

According to court documents, the Chester County Detectives received a cyber-tip from myYearbook—a social networking service that’s since become MeetMe.com—regarding a man communicating inappropriately with a 12-year-old girl. Police say Wilcox was using the email address "lastdayministries33."

On January 26, a Chester County Detective met with Wilcox at his 1401 Charlestown Road residence. In the subsequent interview, Wilcox said he expected law enforcement would come for him, and admitted to being sexually aroused by child pornography.

The defendant went on to tell the detective that he has been in communication, both on the phone and through his computer, with multiple underage girls. He said he has successfully solicited nude pictures from these children.

Wilcox added that he began looking at child pornography in 2005 and has since viewed images of naked and sexually compromised children who were between the ages of three and 17. He said he understands this behavior is illegal and wrong.

After the interview, Wilcox’s cellphone and Macbook were taken and examined by the Chester County Detectives’ Computer Forensics unit. Over 50 images of child pornography, consistent with what Wilcox descried in the interview, were located.

Roger Wilcox was charged on February 12. He faces preliminary hearing on February 21.
