Police Blotter: Man Smashes Head Into Officer's Face

And a man was cited with disorderly conduct after stealing $6 worth of merchandise at True Value.

INCIDENTS:

Aggravated Assault at the Lamplighter Tavern (unit block of Campbell Avenue) on 2/1 and 1:29 a.m. —An employee escorted Mark Brian Privigyi out of the bar due to him being intoxicated and disorderly. Privigyi attempted to reenter the bar to locate his cell phone. The victim told Privigyi that he could not locate his cell phone and Privigyi attacked him, striking him with a cutting instrument causing his face to bleed heavily. Mark Brian Privigyi was charged. 

Aggravated Assault at the 300 block of Brentwood Road on 2/1 and 2:57 a.m. — Officers were dispatched for a violent domestic. Upon arrival officers observed two males covered in blood. The victim reported that her boyfriend, Timothy Laskey, was highly intoxicated and out of control. He hit her across the face at which point her friend attempted to intervene. While officers escorted Laskey from the residence he forcibly banged his head directly into the officer's face causing him to bleed profusely.  Timothy John Laskey was charged.

Retail Theft at True Value (1300 block of West Chester Pike) on 2/1 and 6:36 p.m. — Kyle Orner, 23, 900 block of Cornwallis Drive, West Chester, was cited with disorderly conduct for the theft of $6 worth of merchandise.

Vandalism at the 400 block of Sagamore Road on 2/1 and 10:07 a.m. — Vehicle tire was punctured.

Public Drunkenness at the Haverford Library (1600 block of E. Darby Road) on  2/1 and 4:55 p.m. — Officers were dispatched to the parking lot for an intoxicated male playing a guitar. Upon arrival police observed a male in the fire exit area. As the subject observed police he picked up a bottle of Vodka and drank the entire contents. John D. Hennessy, 47, 1000 block of W. Bridge Street, Phoenixville, was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.

Theft at the unit block of Greenview Lane on 2/2 and 1600 p.m. — Vehicle was entered — Cell phone and car charger were stolen.

Motor Vehicle Theft at the 300 block of Greenview Lane on 2/2 and 9:21 a.m. — Victim reported that his vehicle was stolen from his driveway. He is unsure if the vehicle was locked and he may have left the keys in it.

Theft at the 1300 block of Edgewood Road on 2/5 and 10:55 a.m. — Unlocked vehicle was entered and iPod Touch, GPS, golf clubs and cash were stolen.

Fraud at the 2300 block of Grasslyn Avenue on 2/5 and 5:45 p.m. — An unknown person used the victim's identity to open a credit card account.

Burglary at Haverford Hills (400 block of Glendale Road) on 2/6 and 9:31 p.m. — Victim reported that an unknown person attempted to gain entry into his apartment by breaking the outside pane of a double pane window.

Simple Assault at the 700 block of Humphreys Road on 2/6 and 11:26 p.m. — Victim reported that she was physically assaulted by her boyfriend. Officers observed injuries on the victim's arms and face. Kevin Walker was charged.

Burglary (no force) at the 300 block of W. Darby Road on 2/7 and 10:14 a.m. — Victim reported that his portable safe containing cash and several check books were stolen from his bedroom.

Theft at the 2400 block of Linden Drive on 2/7 and 7:48 a.m. — Vehicle was entered — iPod and GPS were stolen.  

Theft at Applebee's Restaurant (1300 block of West Chester Pike) on 2/7 and 4:49 p.m. — iPhone was stolen from the victim's unattended table. 

Theft at Barnaby's (1900 block of Old West Chester Pike) on 2/7 and 12:54 a.m. — Victim reported that someone stole her wallet. The wallet was later located but the cash was missing.

Theft at the 3200 block of Darby Road on 2/7 and 4:53 p.m. — Victim became aware that his registration plate was stolen from his garage when he received a notification for nonpayment of parking tickets.

Theft at the unit block of N. Edmonds Avenue on 2/7 and 2:50 p.m. — Registration plate was stolen from the victim's vehicle.

Public Drunkenness at Barnaby's (1900 block of old West Chester Pike) on 2/7 and 1:39 a.m. — While conducting a theft investigation Michael Compton exited the bar to see what was going on. Compton was advised several times to return inside the bar and he became belligerent and refused. Compton was slurring his speech and had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath. Michael Compton, 28, unit block of Cedar Drive, Cape May, NJ, was cited for public drunkenness. 

Burglary (forced entry) at Sharro Gas Station (2400 block of E. Darby Road) on 2/8 and 12:10 a.m. — Unknown people gained access into the business by smashing the glass in the main door. The subjects were observed leaving the store with a candy rack on the surveillance cameras. Nothing else is known to be missing.  (Please see .)
