Popular Bagel Shop Chain Opening Delco Location In 2024

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Delaware County in early 2024 will get a new spot for bagels, as Spread Bagelry will open a new location in Newtown Square.

The Philadelphia-born local chain will begin serving up its Montreal-style bagels, spreads, and sandwiches

This new location will feature 3,000 square feet of space in Newtown Square's Ellis Preserve.

Spread Bagelry was established in 2010.

Their Montreal-style bagels are hand-shaped, boiled in honey/malt water, and then baked in a wood-fired oven.

Chef Brooks Tanner developed a menu of cream cheese spreads all-day breakfast/lunch sandwiches featuring chef-made house meats and salads.

Spread Bagelry has 14 locations that span from Rittenhouse Square throughout Philadelphia to the City's western suburbs, and South Carolina's Lowcountry. They are open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m., or until sell out.
