The approved 2025 budget accounts for $54.813 in both expenditures and revenues after adjustments were made following the November meeting at which the 3.9 percent increase was discussed.
Commissioner Kevin McCloskey at Monday's meeting said the changes in figures came from decreasing insurance premium estimates, decreasing fund balance transfer from the capital projects funds for the Skatium project, pushing sanitation truck purchases to 2025, and other cost saving measures.
"Great care was taken to look at this budget and do everything possible to both be responsible for our expenses but also be considerate of what an increase would be," he said.
