Dems Take Haverford School Board; Republicans Take Commissioner Seat

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Democrats have won their races for the School District of Haverford Township school director, according to unofficial results.

Unofficial results from Delaware County's Board of Elections show Democrats Bridget Wiedeman, David Schwartz, LaTonia Lee, Chris Shelton, and Antoinette Snodgrass have won seats on the board.

As for township commissioner races, Republicans Brian Gondek, Conor Quinn, and Michael McCollum won their races for Wards 1, 7, and 9, while Democrats Kevin McCloskey and Laura Cavender held on to their seats in Wards 3 and 5.

Results will be considered unofficial until all votes, including those cast via mail and in ballot drop boxes, have been counted.

With an increase in voting by mail, official results likely won't be available for a few days.
