SEPTA Train Hits, Kills Pedestrian In Delco
SEPTA said a person who was in the track area was fatally struck by a Media/Wawa Line train Wednesday night in Delaware County.
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — A person was fatally struck by a SEPTA train in Delaware County Wednesday night, according to officials.
The incident happened at about 11:30 p.m. on the Media/Wawa Line between the Morton and Secane stations, SEPTA said.

The train was heading inbound to Philadelphia when it struck and killed a person in the track area, according to SEPTA.
The decedent's identity has not been released.

No one on the train was injured, and a shuttle bus took train passengers to Center City.
It's unclear why the person was on the train tracks when they were struck Wednesday night.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
