State Of The Art Gymnastics Facility To Open In Haverford
The 11,000 square foot facility reflects a dedication to the thriving and rapidly growing Haverford area gymnastics community.
HAVERFORD, PA — A new state of the art gymnastics center will host a grand opening at the Haverford YMCA on Thursday.
The new 11,000 square foot facility is located on 4 Raymond Drive. It features a foam pit, competition floor, tumbling track, vaults, bars, and beams.
The facility reflects the commitment of both the YMCA and the local community to developing the sport at a grassroots level and providing a space for both elites and beginners to flourish. It will host training, classes, and competitions, the Y says.

"The center was inspired, in part, by then 11-year-old gymnast Abi, who advocated for a dedicated space," the YMCA shared in their announcement.
The center will be led by Natalie Wojcik, a former NCAA champion and gymnastics coach.

The grand opening allows the public to tour the facility, watch demos from the team, meet the coaches, and try the equipment.
The ribbon cutting will be held at 4 p.m., and the open house will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
