State Police Conducting DUI Checkpoint In Delco Friday

Pennsylvania State Police are conducting a DUI checkpoint somewhere in Delaware County overnight Friday.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Pennsylvania State Police will be out looking for impaired drivers Friday night in Delaware County.

Troopers will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint overnight Friday somewhere in the county.

The checkpoint will be in operation from 10 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities did not say where the checkpoint will be located.

The goal of the checkpoint is to identify and remove impaired, drunk and drugged drivers from the road.

"Our overall goal is to provide travelers safe transit along the roads in Delaware County," Pennsylvania State Police in Delaware County said. "Help us to fight drunk and drugged driving, a danger that is entirely preventable."
