Tour Historic Haverford Houses Sunday
The option to take a guided bicycle tour, instead of a car, is new this year to the historical society's annual holiday fundraiser.

The Haverford Township Historical Society will hold its fifth annual Holiday House Tour Sunday, Dec. 16, from 1 to 4:30 p.m.
For $25 (or $20 for members), tour-goers receive a brochure containing a map of the route, which serves as a ticket. In each of the six homes on the tour, a society member will be on hand to describe the history of the home, which will be decorated for the season.
The list of homes on the tour changes each year. The addresses aren't given out ahead of time, but the Historical Society website gives some clues:

Get a chance to tour some of Haverford Townships most beautiful homes. We have a great list this year including a 1746 Farmhouse and more modern style homes of the 40's and 50's.
Terri Dougherty, a society board member whose house is on this year's tour, said she expects this year to be the biggest yet.
"We probably had somewhere around 125 [people] last year," Dougherty said. "I think we're going to have much bigger turnout this year. We have a banner this year at the library, and I've gotten a lot more phone calls."
