Wednesday at the U.S. Open
The crowd was a little bigger and more present in Merion Wednesday, as was the media.
After a good first day on Tuesday, I stopped back to the Merion Golf Club for an afternoon of preparation for the U.S. Open play that starts Thursday.
I found enterprising youngsters and friendly volunteers. I even ran into an old friend, who somehow talked our way onto a golf cart for a nice ride through part of the course. There is nothing better than riding in a golf cart through the U.S. Open.
Wednesday, the crowd was a little bigger and more present, as was the media. Also present was the threat of severe weather for Thursday that is hanging over everyone from volunteers to spectators. According to Philly.com, "For Thursday single-day ticketholders, the magic number is four: That's how many hours of golf would make those tickets valid."
