2 Cited for L. Saucon Burning Ordinance Violations
Lower Saucon Township Police say they recently cited two residents for allegedly violating the township's burning ordinance.

Two Lower Saucon Township residents were recently cited for allegedly violating the township's burning ordinance, according to police news releases.
On the morning of April 26, police say Tammy Lynn Hutterer, of the 2300 block of Wassergass Road, was conducting a controlled burn on her property when she "left the area with the fire not being completely out" and without a water source.
Police said the fire—which was at the roadside—was observed by an officer on patrol.

"Flames were visible in the grass and there were burned out areas around a small pine tree, which was also burned at the bottom," police said, adding that officers extinguished the blaze before speaking with Hutterer.
On the evening of April 27, police say they were responding to a brush fire in the 2500 block of Applebutter Road when they found Jay Pichel burning plastic and "other garbage materials" on his property.
