Bechdolt's, Klotz's to Be Honored at Community Day

The two local businesses that will be honored at have been selected, according to recent meeting minutes distributed by the Community Day organizing committee.

in Lower Saucon Township and in Hellertown will be the 2012 honorees, and were selected from a field that included "many worthy candidates" according to the March minutes.

Both are well-established businesses with many loyal customers from the Saucon Valley and beyond.

Community Day organizers said they also hope to honor the baseball team and coach Bob Zerfass "in recognition of their outstanding championship play over many previous seasons."

Hellertown-Lower Saucon Community Day is an annual one-day celebration of life in the Saucon Valley that is organized by the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce and a committee of volunteers that meets once a month throughout the year.

The popular, family-friendly event is held in Hellertown's  each August and includes a vendor fair, food, live entertainment, a car show, children's activities and more.
