Crayola to Move Distribution Hub to Majestic Property

Crayola has announced plans to consolidate its distribution centers in an 800,000-square-foot building at the Bethlehem Majestic Center, which straddles Bethlehem and Lower Saucon Township.

Crayola, the nationally-known, Forks Township-based maker of crayons, has announced that it will close its three Pennsylvania distribution centers and consolidate their operations in an 800,000-square-foot building at the Bethlehem Majestic Center, the Morning Call reported March 29.

The Majestic Center is located on former Bethlehem Steel land and straddles the border between the City of Bethlehem and Lower Saucon Township, near I-78 and .

Crayola is the first tenant to announce occupancy of the center and will employ 60-80 people at its facility, according to the newspaper.

A spring groundbreaking and March 2013 occupancy of the distribution hub are anticipated, it added.

, but ground was never broken on that project and the city has said it was shelved because of the tenant, according to the Morning Call article.
