Lower Saucon Township Police say a motorist backed into a car in the Giant shopping center parking lot at 1880 Leithsville Road. Loose dogs and illegal dumping also were among police reports.

Richard T. Kunkle, of the 3700 block of Oliver Street, Upper Saucon Township, was parking his vehicle at 3:30 p.m. on March 14 when he backed into another vehicle in the Giant shopping center parking lot at 1880 Leithsville Road, Lower Saucon Township, police said. Kunkle was cited for Limitations on Backing, they said.

Woman to Be Cited After Small Dog Allegedly Runs Loose on Dartford Road

Shannon Baker, 20, of the 1400 block of Meadow View Court, Lower Saucon Township, will be cited for Confinement of Dogs after her dog allegedly ran loose March 18 near her home, police said. In a news release, police said Baker's "small brown dog" was observed at 7:43 p.m. in a garage in the 1900 block of Dartford Road by the home's resident. Police said Baker was then contacted and asked to come pick up her dog.

May Zhong, of the 600 block of Carlton Avenue, Bethlehem, allowed her German shepherd dog to be off a leash in Town Hall Park, 3700 Old Philadelphia Pike, at 1:50 p.m. on March 27, police said. In a news release, police said Zhong violated a township ordinance and was mailed a citation.

Woman Rear-Ended Stopped Car on Route 412, Police Say

Brittany Nicole Howell, of the first block of North Main Street, Richlandtown, was northbound on Route 412 between Meadows Road and Herbert Avenue at 6:04 p.m. on March 27 when she struck a vehicle that was stopped in traffic, police said. After Howell rear-ended the vehicle in front of her, that vehicle was pushed into a truck that was in front of it, police said in a news release. Howell was cited for alleged violation of the vehicle code, Driving at Safe Speed, police said.

Door Found Pried Open at Se-Wy-Co Fire Company, Police Say

Police say someone attempted to gain entry to a Se-Wy-Co Fire Company outbuilding by prying up the bottom panel of an overhead door. In a news release, police said the incident occurred sometime between March 28 and April 1. Damage to the door is estimated at $150. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lower Saucon Township Police Department at 610-317-6110.

Brush Dumped Illegally at Steel City Hill Climb, Police Say

Police say they are investigating the illegal dumping of brush from a cedar tree near the entrance to the Steel City Hill Climb, 2248 Riverside Drive. In a news release police said the brush was discovered on the afternoon of April 1. Anyone with information about the dumping is asked to contact Lower Saucon Township Police.
