Man Caused Wrong-Way Crash on Rt. 412: Police

A man drove the wrong way in the 1900 block of Leithsville Road (Route 412) and struck another vehicle, Lower Saucon Township Police said in a news release.

According to police, Alexander Groves, of the 900 block of West Berwick Street, Easton, was traveling north in the southbound lane of the roadway when he struck a vehicle operated by Joanne Hillegass, of the 1500 block of Elayne Street, Bethlehem.

Police said the accident occurred at 7:39am March 11 and was described to them by witnesses.

When officers arrived at the scene of the accident, police said they found that both vehicles had suffered "disabling damage" and Hillegass was "complaining of back and neck pain."

Hillegass was subsequently taken to St. Luke's University Hospital by Dewey EMS.

Groves was cited for driving on the wrong side of the roadway, police said.
