Obituary: Ruth A. (Horne) Broadhead, 95

Ruth A. (Horne) Broadhead, 95, of Upper Saucon Township died Friday, May 4, 2012 at St. Luke's University Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Broadhead, who died on July 25, 1991. She was born in Lower Saucon Township on Jan. 18, 1917 to the late Harry and Miriam (Bright) Horne. Ruth was a member of God's Bible Holiness Church, Orefield, where she served as trustee and also Sunday School Secretary and Treasurer.

Survivors:

Children: LaMar E. and his wife Carolyn of Slatington, LaMont D. and his wife Elizabeth of Jasper, Ga., Juanita R. of Coopersburg; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Leonard Horne. 

Service:

Family and friends are invited to call from 7 to 8:30pm Monday, May 7, 2012 at the 326 Main St., Hellertown and from 10 to 11am Tuesday at the God's Bible Holiness Church, 2654 Rt. 309, Orefield. The Tuesday calling hour will be followed by the service at 11am. The interment will conclude services at Bingen Sunrise Memorial Cemetery, Lower Saucon Township. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Juanita R. Broadhead, the Rev. Randal Addison and the Rev. William L. Ginder. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
