Police Announce Roving DUI Patrols

Lower Saucon Township, Hellertown and Freemansburg police will be conducting roving DUI patrols in May, township police announced recently.

As the weather warms, many people will be staying out later and socializing more.

With an eye toward helping to keep the roads safe for everyone, local police have announced that they will be conducting roving DUI patrols in the Saucon Valley area throughout the month of May.

In an April 27 press release, the Lower Saucon Police Department announced that it will be conducting the DUI patrols in conjunction with the Hellertown and Freemansburg police departments.

"The goal of the program is to deter impaired driving and to identify and arrest offenders in an effort to create a safer environment for all people in the commonwealth," the department said.
