Frustration over roadblocks erected along Main Street in Hellertown and an investigation into an accident involving a Lower Saucon Township dump truck topped the local headlines this week.

Frustration over PennDOT-ordered barricades on several side streets at the north end of Hellertown's Main Street was expressed at Monday's Borough Council meeting. Borough officials planned a meeting with affected business owners and PennDOT representatives on Friday. Meanwhile, traffic in the area has been impacted by the road closures and detours.
