St. Mike's Students Receive Academic Awards
Students from St. Michael the Archangel School in Upper Saucon Township received awards at Allentown Central Catholic High School's annual Music, Writing and Math Competition for local "feeder" schools.
On April 23, Allentown Central Catholic High School honored the winners of their annual Music, Writing and Math Competition for elementary students. Students from Allentown Central Catholic "feeder" schools (elementary schools whose students typically go on to attend ACCHS) were invited to participate, in different age categories, for awards in various writing forms, instrumental and vocal performances, and in the Pennsylvania Math League regional competition.
A number of students from St. Michael the Archangel schools in Upper Saucon Township received awards.
Fourth grade student Briana Kim earned first place in Piano/Intermediate Level and third place in Vocal/Intermediate Level; sixth grade student Madison Faust won first place in Essay/Intermediate Level; and seventh grade student Kerrie Koller earned second place in Violin/Junior High Level.

Seventh and eighth grade students were invited to participate in the regional Pennsylvania Math League competition, with awards given to the top 10 finishers in each grade category. Seventh grade student Jacques Vidal and eighth grade student Sam Hasselbusch both placing fifth in their respective age categories in the PA Math League contest.
