Woman Made Up Story About Stolen Car, Police Say
Lower Saucon Township police say Maia Green, of Breinigsville and formerly of Lower Saucon, fabricated a story about a stolen car that led to the filing of a police report in August 2010.

A Breinigsville woman is facing charges of False Reports to Law Enforcement and Hindering an Investigation/Apprehension, after say she admitted to concocting a story about a stolen vehicle almost two years ago.
According to a police department press release, Maia Green, of the 1000 block of Cetronia Road, told authorities that her ex-boyfriend had stolen her car following a fight in August 2010.
A warrant for her ex-boyfriend's arrest was issued and he "left the state after Green advised him of the charges," police said.

Sometime later, a tip from the FBI led township police to an apartment in Breinigsville that they say Green and her ex-boyfriend were attempting to lease.
"At this time Green, who since 2010 denied knowing her ex-boyfriend's whereabouts, was charged and an arrest warrant issued," police said. "Green was arrested but her ex-boyfriend...left the apartment about a month ago."

"Green, after being arrested, admitted and gave a written statement that she made up the stolen vehicle report because she was angry at her ex after they had a dispute over their daughter," police added.
Police did not identify Green's ex-boyfriend in the press release.
